At Hnry, we are looking for an experienced delivery leader to become our Head of Delivery. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Delivery you will own the frameworks, processes and cadence of delivery across Hnry, championing our single delivery model across all teams with a particular focus on our Domain delivery squads. You’ll work closely with the Leadership Team and Exec, as well as the Head of Product (the What & Why) and the Head of Engineering (the Who, How & When), to ensure we consistently hit timelines, remove blockers, and evolve our Ways of Working as the business grows.
🚀 Responsibilities
- Champion, embed and continuously improve our Ways of Working across the entire business, with a focus on our Domain delivery squads
- Partner with the Head of Product and Head of Engineering to ensure delivery practices are followed, timelines are met, dependencies are managed, and blockers are resolved collaboratively
- Report regularly on progress toward company strategic outcomes to peers in the Leadership Team and to the Exec, providing clear, data-led visibility of portfolio and squad health
- Take a commercially-focused approach to delivery: aligning scope, sequencing and capacity to revenue and customer outcomes, and making trade-offs explicit
- Identify opportunities to refine, evolve and adjust our delivery model, tooling and rituals to optimise flow, quality and predictability
- Coach squads and leaders to take accountability for delivery, risk and issue management; facilitating escalation and decision-making where needed
- Ensure consistent use of tools, systems and processes (planning, backlog management, workflow) to optimise delivery at Hnry
- Work with peers across the Leadership Team to help optimise delivery in their areas, ensuring teams have the tools, skills and support to succeed
- Maintain and improve a company-wide sprint cadence, outcome tracking and delivery governance that aligns all work to the Hnry vision, strategy and roadmap
- Take a data-driven approach to delivery, establishing and evolving meaningful metrics and dashboards (e.g. flow, predictability, quality, cost-to-serve, customer impact) and act on the insights
- Work across Hnry’s three jurisdictions (NZ, AU, UK) to ensure aligned and consistent delivery practices between distributed teams, while accounting for local compliance, market nuances and time zones
- Build strong relationships across the organisation so delivery is smooth, transparent and customer-centric
Note: This role does not have direct reports initially. You will lead through influence, coaching and cross-functional ownership, with the opportunity to shape future team structures as Hnry scales.

- We have a relentless focus on the customer, and on delivering great experiences to ensure we maintain our high rate of customer referrals
- We take a data-driven approach to everything we do, making decisions based on user behaviour - constantly tweaking and optimising to improve
- We follow agile practices, delivering improvements iteratively in small chunks. We track the impact of our work and measure ourselves based on delivering tangible contributions towards agreed targets
- We encourage experimentation - whether that’s experimenting with new tools or techniques, or experimenting with new technologies
- Every team across the business works to the same sprint-based delivery model at the same cadence, and our technical delivery is performed by cross-functional, blended teams comprising a mix of engineering, product and customer team representatives
- We invest in our people, and provide opportunities for career growth and progression
